Clear Floor Areas: o Remove all items from the floor in the rooms to be treated to allow access to as much floor space as possible. o Move furniture away from the edges of the room to provide access to the floor-wall junctions.
Thorough Cleaning: o Vacuum all carpets and rugs thoroughly, and clean all non-carpeted floor areas. o Pay extra attention to areas where pets sleep or where sunlight heats the floor. o After vacuuming, empty the contents of the vacuum cleaner directly into the dustbin or replace the vacuum bag.
Pet Bedding: o Wash all pet bedding and thoroughly clean their sleeping areas.
Pet Treatment: o Ensure pets are being treated with an approved flea treatment, preferably prescribed by a vet.
Vacate the Area: o People and domestic pets must leave the treated rooms and should not return until the chemical has completely dried.
Open all curtains and close all windows.
Ensure pets are secured outside. For exterior sprays, dogs must either be off the property or secured at least 10 meters away from the home.
Cover fish bowls and tanks with a waterproof cover, and turn off/unplug the filter.
Put away or cover all children’s toys.
Cover baby cribs or cots.
Store or cover all exposed food.
Cover all eating and food preparation surfaces, and wipe them with a wet, soapy cloth after the treatment.
Put away bathroom items, including toothbrushes and toilet paper, and close toilet seats.
Cover beds and pillows with a sheet that will need to be washed afterward. If you do not have enough covers for personal items, such as beds or pillows, we can assist in covering them for you.
Clear floor spaces and de-clutter in general, as we will be treating baseboards, corners, cracks, and crevices.
Guidelines: Post-Pest Control Treatment
Vacating the Premises: o Stay out of the house for 5 to 6 hours, depending on the drying time of the treatment.
Ventilation: o Upon returning, open all windows to ventilate the treated areas thoroughly.
Stay out of the house for at least 3 hours. If you are sensitive to odors or chemicals,
stay out for 4 hours.
Upon returning, open windows to ventilate thoroughly.
To ensure effectiveness, the product must remain in areas where pests are likely to be.
There may be over spray on windows, which can be wiped off with a damp cloth— only use water, as other chemicals may reduce the treatment’s effectiveness.
